New Devotional On the Book of Ephesians

Many devotionals are topical by nature, but not many are actually verse-by-verse through an entire book of the Bible.

That’s what makes this new devotional on the book of Ephesians different. It will take the worshiper through the entire epistle at a slow enough pace to get some real meat out of this incredible book.

Ephesians is a hugely important book for learning how to live the Christian life. It’s immensely practical, as well as deeply spiritual. In it, the believer learns of his/her position in Christ. Then, the believer learns about our walk with Christ. Finally, the believer discovers how to stand by Christ.

As I did with the previous devotional on the book of James, I will start off with a background study of the book as a whole, and then divide the studies up into six weeks, five days per week (M-F). On the weekends there will be opportunity to go back and review the previous week, or to make journal entries regarding how the Lord has spoken into your life.

I’ll start tomorrow morning with the first of four short lessons which will provide an overview of the book.

Next Monday AM (11/30) we’ll start with Week 1, Day 1. Each morning there will be a new devotional thought for the section of the day, followed by application oriented questions.

You can sign up to automatically receive these studies without having to log on by going to the home page of my blog and clicking on “Subscribe to Bill’s Blog by Email” on the right hand side of the page.

Devotional, scripture-style… wow. That is a great idea; I will present this to Joe and see if he is willing to do it. We’ve been doing Charles Spurgeon’s morning and evening, but this will be straight from you – how cool is that… Thank you, Bill.

Please add us to the list for the Ephesians
Devotional. I am already blessed just by the overviews you’ve sent.
